M.O.S.A.I.C.: Where Shared Experiences Build Stronger Communities
The Bloomingdale Park District is proud to introduce M.O.S.A.I.C., a new philosophy that reflects our commitment to awareness and connection to the community.
Definition of Mosaic
A mosaic is a decorative art form where patterns or images are created by setting small, individual pieces of various sizes, shapes, colors and materials into a surface, typically held in place by plaster, cement, or mortar. These pieces are traditionally made of stone, glass, or ceramic, and are arranged to form a full picture, which is often used to decorate floors, walls, and ceilings due to their great durability and vibrant appearance. The mosaic technique transforms countless varying tiny fragments into a cohesive piece of art.
With this thought in mind, we developed the M.O.S.A.I.C. philosophy, vision and mission.
