This monthly update keeps you in tune with all of the events, activities and happenings in the Bloomingdale Park District. Our mission is to efficiently and economically provide recreation programs, facilities and open space designed to provide enjoyable leisure time experiences that benefit the community.
Statewide Kite Fly & Touch-A-Truck
Contests, raffles, concessions and a mass kite launch highlight the annual Statewide Kite Fly and Touch-A-Truck scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon, May 18 at Springfield Park.
Sponsored by the Illinois Association of Park
Districts, the kite fly raises awareness of the Park
District Youth License Plate Flying 4 Kids program.
Sales of Flying 4 Kids license plates go to park
districts and recreation agencies to provide
innovative, after-school programming for Illinois
youth.
Touch-A-Truck features are variety of trucks
and vehicles to climb, sit and play on. Parental
supervision is required.

The Oasis Water Park Opening Weekend
The Oasis Water Park celebrates Opening Weekend with games, prizes, raffle drawings and live entertainment throughout the weekend, June 1-2. Sponsored by Sports Authority, Saturday entertainment is juggler Jason Kollum, from 1 to 3 p.m.; and Sunday entertainment is magician Dennis DeBondt, 1 to 3 p.m.

Lunch Bunch - Nora Drysch performs songs from the Big Band era with a full complement of recorded background music from noon to 1:30 p.m., May 23 at the Bloomingdale Park District Museum. Lunch also includes a Big Band trivia contest as well as a free door prize raffle!
FREE Fitness Classes! - Improve your strength, endurance, flexibility and awarenes of mind and body by trying one of two free yoga classes offered in June. A free hot yoga class is offered 7:15 to 8:30 p.m., June 3; and a free vinyasa yoga class is offered 7:15 to 8:30 p.m., June 5. Additionally, a large number of fitness classes begin in June. Teens & Tweens - Top Dog Adventure Camp is a great option for your teen/tween this summer. Campers experience a variety of field trips Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to water parks, museums, Navy Pier, Millenium Park and more. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, campers may take walking field trips to the library, Westlake Park and nearby restaurants, as well as enjoy relaxation time at The Oasis Water Park. Campers also enjoy group and individual games and activities throughout the week.
