Welcome to the BPD E-newsletter!

This monthly update keeps you in tune with all of the events, activities and happenings in the Bloomingdale Park District. Our mission is to efficiently and economically provide recreation programs, facilities and open space designed to provide enjoyable leisure time experiences that benefit the community.


Summer Brochure to be delivered April 3-6

The Park District's In Season Summer Brochure is scheduled to be delivered to residents April 3-6.

The guide features 30-plus new programs and classes in addition to annual special event favorites and a bevy of benefits-based programming.

Among the highlights are new special events Family Campout, Teen Music Fest and Saturday Sundae Fun Run. The guide also features information on The Oasis Water Park, summer and specialty camps, expanded adult fitness & sports options, and the importance of the customer at the BPD.

Resident registration is now open. Non-resident registration begins April 29 at 8:30 a.m.


Fish Release!

Fish Release
 

Help restock ponds at Lakeview Park in Bloomingdale and Turner Park in Roselle at the annual Fish Release scheduled for April 13 at 9 a.m.

Participants are provided with buckets to dispense fish into the ponds. Dress appropriately as splashing and muddy conditions are likely. All ages are welcome. This is a FREE event. No registration is necessary.

Participants are asked to bring canned goods that are donated to the Bloomingdale Food Pantry.

The Bloomingdale Park District offers endless opportunities for your child to have a fun and memorable camp experience.

Our summer day camp program is designed to spark your child’s imagination, grow new friendships, and assist them in discovering new talents each and every day. With creatively-planned activities, campers enjoy summer to the fullest extent and look forward to returning year after year.


News & Notes

Student Art Show - Students from local grade schools and high schools display their talents for not only mom, dad and grandparents, but the entire community at the 30th Annual Student Art Show, running through April 13 at the Bloomingdale Park District Museum.

Adult Co-Ed Softball League - Ensure your team's spot in the Park District's NEW Co-Ed 14-inch Softball League. Games are played Wednesday nights at Springfield Park. Season consists of 10 games. More...

The Battle is Back! - Enjoy listening to local indie music bands compete for the title of Bloomingdale Battle of the Bands Champion starting at 6:30 p.m., April 19 at the JRC! Tickets are $5 (presale) and $7 (at the door). Interested bands with members ages 12-20 should contact Jason Posluszny for more information. Submission deadline is April 5.
